Lehigh Acres Citizen

DUSK, Kathleen and Dean Winkleman, with their fine listening and dancing music will perform at the Lehigh Acres Senior Center on Saturday, Nov. 9 for a special fund raiser Veteran's Dinner Dance.

This busy and talented duo performs weekly in venues throughout Southwest Florida and beyond.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a catered dinner, beverage and dessert featuring chicken, scalloped potatoes, mixed veggies, salad, roll, dessert and beverage.

Music and dancing are from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are on sale now in the Lehigh Acres Senior Center office for $12 and limited to 110 seats. The public is invited so get their tickets early.

Veterans will be honored during this special event.

Dean and Kathleen Winkelman are rapidly becoming one of the most popular music duos in Southwest Florida. Over the years, performances in places like Nashville, New York, Chicago, Branson and many other cities and towns from Canada to the Gulf Coast have gained DUSK, as Dean and Kathleen are known, an incredible following of fans all over.

Performing a wide variety of classic, jazz, pop and rock music, DUSK makes every occasion a memorable event, their fans say. DUSK has opened for Doc Severson, BJ Thomas, Three Dog Night, and others.

Both play instruments and have performed together since the 70s and live in Lee County.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the recreation center on Plaza Drive, which offers memberships for those who are more than 50 years of age, offering year-round fun activities to the community.
