The FGUA will be relocating a 12-inch water main that runs parallel to Parkdale Boulevard. The work will be performed on Nov. 6 beginning at 9 a.m.
To complete this process it will be necessary to interrupt the water service for a few hours between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Woodridge Preserve Community and customers along Parkdale Boulevard between State Road 82 and Bennington Drive will be affected.
As a precaution upon return of service, officials recommend that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing dishes or brushing teeth be boiled.
A rolling boil of at least one minute prior to consuming is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
The water is safe for non-consumptive uses.
This notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink, at which point the boil water notice will be rescinded. This testing normally takes 2-3 days to complete.
The FGUA would like to apologize for any inconvenience customers may experience during this time.
