Lee County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested three people in a recent case.
Gabriela Espinoza, 19, of 824 Atherton Ave., was charged with obstructing law enforcement without violence, a misdemeanor.
The two others are minors and face the same misdemeanor charge.
Because they are minors charged with a misdemeanor, their names are confidential per Florida Statute 985.04(1).
At 1:33 a.m. Nov. 25, the Lee County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop for a safety violation in the area of Brookfield Street and Action Avenue.
Deputies learned that during traffic stop several people fled from the vehicle. Responding deputies heard shots fired as they fled.
Bravo District deputies converged on the scene and set up a perimeter. The sheriff's office K-9 and Aviation Units responded to assist with the search.
The deputy was not injured.
Due to the nature of the call detectives with the Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.
The investigation continues.
