Lee County Community Development releases November permit report

During November, contractors pulled 61 permits to build single-family houses collectively valued at nearly $15.7 million in unincorporated Lee County.

That compares to 70 permits issued in October and 44 issued in November 2012, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development.

Also during November, 31 multi-family units were permitted, compared to 44 in October and 20 in November 2012.

General commercial activity was valued at more than $22.4 million for 10 permits, including two projects at the Lee County Sports Complex on Ben C. Pratt/Six Mile Cypress Parkway: a $6.2 million Twins Player Academy, a residential facility for minor league player development, and a $4.8 million boardwalk addition around Hammond Stadium.

In comparison, commercial permits were valued at nearly $7.7 million in October and more than $3.7 million in November 2012.

Lee County Community Development issued 2,800 permits of all kinds during November.
