Raymond James Moore Sr., 73, of Cape Coral, formerly of Providence, R.I., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Cape Coral. He was born April 22, 1940, in Providence, R.I., to William and Lillian Moore, now deceased.
He was an entrepreneur his entire life and to the day of his passing still managed his successful muffler shop, Moore's Discount Muffler, for more than 30 years.
He was a longtime resident of Lee County.

He always enjoyed fixing things and looking for new projects. He was a hard worker and the rock to many.
He leaves behind his ideals of strength, courage and dedication as he instilled them in his family.
He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Moore of Cape Coral; children, Raymond J. (Robin) Moore Jr. of Tamarac, Bruce R. Moore of Delray Beach, Darlene T. Moore-Boyles of Lehigh Acres, Ronald J. Moore of Lehigh Acres and Roger J. Moore, of Lantana; sisters, Carol Joan Young of Boca Raton and Diane (Angelo) Yidiaris of North Attleboro, Mass.; brother, Bernie Moore of Providence, R.I.; and grandchildren, Christina, Nichole, Michael, Mathew, Melanie, Katy, Brandy and Terry James.
A time of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the family residence.
