Hospital Auxiliary swears in new officers
The new Lehigh Regional Medical Center Auxiliary officers were sworn in recently.
A volunteer group at the hospital, the Auxiliary consists of Pink Lakes and Blue Men.

There are 52 volunteers throughout the hospital departments, but more volunteers are needed.

Facebook for Business Series planned
The Small Business Development Center will host a Facebook for Business Series from 8 to 11 a.m. Feb. 13 and 20 at the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce, at 25 Homestead Road, Suite 41.
Learn what it takes to be successful on Facebook. Walk through a page set up, the different tools available for businesses, create a social media e-mail account and creating content.
Please bring laptops as this will be a hands-on class.
The speaker is Theresa Ayers, a certified business analyst with the FSBDC at Florida Gulf Coast University. Her responsibilities include one-on-one consulting, facilitating workshops and seminars, and assisting small business clients in Southwest Florida.
Cost is $30 per person.

Food-handler training class being offered
A food managers certification class will be offered April 14 starting at 9 a.m. at the Lee County Parks and Recreation-UF/IFAS Lee County Extension, at 3410 Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers.
The course is a comprehensive food-handler training that includes the current regulations to assist in taking the ServSafe Manager's Exam, which is offered through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
Following the class, the exam will be held at 2 p.m. The national certification is valid for five years.
The cost is $110 for the class and exam or $165 for the class, exam and textbook.
Register at least three business days before the class; no walk-in registrations will be permitted.
