To the editor:
Four of a kind may be lucky in poker, but is not so good in politics.
All four Republican candidates iterate virtues as the following: They all vow to repeal, replace or defund the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Listen to their collective voice.
Each one said he/she was the most qualified to win on April 22, 2014.
All four dialogs are formulated to appeal only to the extreme right of the party. All four pledge to focus on deficit reduction, never mentioning job creation.
Jobs still are the number one priority! There are three applicants for every job. More jobs would bring in more revenues and would also reduce the unemployment benefits, thus reducing our deficit.
We the voters of Lee County need to elect candidates who will work for the people solving their problems. Candidates who represent the 1% not the 99% must not be elected as they are obstructionists to the direction in which this country must go to restore its middle class.
Please vote on June 24 to elect the candidate that truly represents the people not one who has their own agenda.
