June 4, 2014
Lehigh Acres Citizen

Course aims to provide hope to participants

More than two million families have positively changed their financial future through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.

The nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success.

The course meets once a week, where a different lesson is taught by Ramsey on DVD, followed by a small-group discussion.

Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.

A Financial Peace University course will begin June 8 at 10:45 a.m. at the New Life Assembly of God, at 5146 S. Leonard Blvd.

For information and to register, contact Jason Goss at (239) 369-6147.

Financial Peace University lessons also include guest speakers Rachel Cruze, Ramsey's daughter, and Chris Hogan, a counselor and speaker for Ramsey's organization.

The revised Financial Peace University is offered through churches and community centers.

After purchasing a membership, each participant receives a workbook, "Dave Ramsey's Complete Guide to Money," an envelope system and an audio CD library. Participants will also have access to budgeting forms and MP3s of all the lessons.
