Robert V. ‘Bob’ Greene

Robert V. "Bob" Greene, 68, of Lehigh Acres, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Hope Hospice in Fort Myers after losing his battle with cancer. He was born the son of Dan and Tobina Greene.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963-67 and was a Vietnam veteran.

He served as first vice president of the Naples Jaycees from 1969-72 and was a member of the Naples Players in the early 1970's. He was also a member of the Naples MADD organization.

He worked in the local area for the past 35 years as a professional driver until his retirement in 2011.

He treasured his time at home with his adoring wife Sandra K. Greene, their four cats and family.

He was a talented singer and writer and was passionate about NASCAR and the Miami Heat.

He will always be remembered for his unique humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; sister, Antoinette Greene; daughters, Jacqueline Franklin, Lori Andersen and Jennifer Greene; stepchildren, Rick Shipp and Pamela Shipp-Whitehead; nine grandchildren; one niece; two nephews; and his first great-granddaughter, who is on the way.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project.
