John V. "Jack" Meehan, 90, of Lehigh Acres, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Hope Hospice. He was born March 29, 1924, in Bronx, New York, to John and Vera Meehan.
He was a resident of Lehigh Acres for the past 25 years and formerly lived in Clinton Corners, New York.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He enjoyed doing woodworking as his hobby and was an engineer at IBM for over 29 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley; children, Pat (Steve) Makula of North Carolina, Gina Meehan of Clermont, Mary Angela (Jim) Molloy of Athens Catskills, New York, Val (Dave) Schaff of Rhinebeck, New York, Dottie (Jim) Lampi of Fishkill, New York, Patrick (Jeanne) Maresca of Clinton Corners, New York, and Michael (Fran) Maresca of Poughkeepsie, New York; and 18 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, July 11, 2014, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Services will be held again Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Clinton Corners, New York, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bangall, New York.
