Curtis P. "Curt" Middleton, 60, formerly of Lehigh Acres, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at his home in Mississippi. He suffered a heart attack June 17, 2013.
A memorial service and entombment will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, at 12777 State Route 82, Fort Myers.
During the service, his stepson - Jason - will be relocated to a new plot and will be placed near his stepfather. Jason was killed Jan. 20 2011, while conducting combat operations in the Helmand province in Afghanistan.

He was an owner and executive editor of The Lehigh Acres Gazette newspaper.
Longtime residents recall his presence in the community, where he worked on The Lehigh Acres Citizen and The News-Star.
He was in charge of all editorial operations at The Lehigh Acres Gazette and used his skills as a former newspaper publisher to help guide the business end.
He was also associated with news products in Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi and Tennessee, as well as Florida.
He raised his four children in Lehigh Acres.
Along with the operation of the two local newspapers, he was actively involved in Little League baseball, Pop Warner football and parents' associations supporting school activities like the Lehigh Lightning Marching Band.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Rebecca and Samantha; and son, Jeremiah.
