The Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business and Consumer Expo on Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lehigh Towne Centre, 25 Homestead Road N., Unit 39 at the corner of Homestead and Alabama roads.
In addition, there will be a jobs fair, too, where employers will be on hand to talk to prospective employees. They will explain jobs at their businesses and the requirements for employment.
"This event is a chance for businesses to market their products and services to a large number of people in one location," said President/CEO Inke Baker. "We expect to have more than 40 exhibitors participating and offering information on their products to the residents of Lehigh Acres and the surrounding area," she said.
It's all free to the public and families are encouraged to attend.
In addition to vendor booths, the event will feature great local entertainment, fun activities for children and prizes from those businesses taking part, Baker said.
Booth space reservations have been accepted by the GLACC office over the past several weeks. Each booth space will be approximately 6 feet wide and 4 feet deep and will include a one to six-foot table and two chairs.
Chamber members could reserve their space for $85 if registration and payment were received by this week. Later, chamber members' registration fees are $100. Non chamber members may also participate with a registration fee of $145. Electricity is available on a first come first serve basis for an additional $10 fee, Baker said.
The business expo has become a very popular event and we have big crowds last year turn out for the event. We expect a larger expo at the event next month," Baker said. The Expo has been sponsored by the chamber for several years now. There is plenty of parking at the shopping center.
Local businesses should call the chamber now for applications for a booth. Contact Inke Baker at 369-3322.
