William Ira Livingston Sr.

William Ira Livingston Sr., 94, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Flagler Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bunnell. He was born May 4, 1920, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Lewis and Mary (Watson) Livingston.

On Aug. 24, 1942, he married Martha "Jane" (Law) Livingston.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was also a mechanical draftsman supervisor, developer, home builder and Realtor in Cary, North Carolina, and Leigh Acres. He was an active Realtor until age 88.

He and his wife retired to Palm Coast in 2008, residing in Benton Village.

During his lifetime he was involved with the Ridgeway PA Drum and Bugle Corp. and the Boy Scouts of America, and he was a volunteer fireman. He was also a member of the Methodist Church, the Lion's Club, Habitat for Humanity, the Masonic Lodge, VFW and American Legion.

His hobbies included gardening, photography, golf and painting, specializing in butterflies.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Housley of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; sons, Bill (Ruth) Livingston of Flagler Beach and Todd (Audrey Maloney) Livingston of St. Petersburg; grandchildren, Ann Livingston of Flagler Beach, Jay Livingston of St. Augustine and Jesse Mayer of Redington Beach; great-grandchildren, Logan and Brody Livingston and Cadence Mayer; three nieces; and three nephews.

Preceding him in death was his wife on April 1, 2014; brothers, James Livingston and Pete Petersen; and sisters, Beulah Steckhahn and Betty Vail.

Services and interment will be held privately for the family.
