Harvey Wallace Stineman, 77, of Lehigh Acres, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at the Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres with his family by his side.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1955-1957, stationed in the D.M.Z in Germany.

He graduated from Penn State in 1961 with a degree in agriculture and dairy science. He married Joanna Stuver in 1962 and together they raised four children.

At one time, he owned a family business, Stineman Ribbon and Trophy in South Fork, Pennsylvania. He retired and bought a home in the Westminster Golf community in Lehigh, where for 10 years he volunteered and built homes with Habitat for Humanity.

He loved to read, farm, timber and golf. He traveled and cruised the world with his wife and family to Europe, Australia, Alaska and Panama. His passions were family and farming.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joanna Stineman; sister, Dr. Caroline Stineman; children, Jean Ann McCormick of Portage, Pennsylvania, Susan Joan (Raymone) Bernecky of South Fork Pennsylvania, Malisa Jo (Herbert) Shaw of Fort Myers and Jeffrey Harve Stineman; grandchildren, Michael John (Heather) McCormick, Adam Jeffrey McCormick, Stefani McCormick and Simon Charles Bernecky.

He was preceded in death by his father, Evan Christain Stineman Sr.; mother, Margaret Louise Stineman; and brother, Evan Christan Stineman Jr.

At the request of the deceased, there will be a private service at the convenience of the family.
