A-Team Challenge Championship on NBC2

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and NBC2 will host the A-Team Challenge Championship on April 16 from noon to 1 p.m. on NBC2.

Thirty-three high schools from six counties, including East Lee County High School and Lehigh Senior High School, have been competing in the competition.

Modeled after Jeopardy, teams compete with each other, answering questions under the categories of science, math, arts and humanities, language arts, social studies and general knowledge.

Public and private schools were invited to compete, with each entering four players and four alternates.

Senior Decision Day set

Lee County high school seniors to participate in Senior Decision Day on April 27.

Seniors are encouraged to wear an article of clothing that represents their chosen college, technical school or military branch and post their decision on social media using the hashtags #LoveLeeSchools, #ImGoingtoCollege, #CollegeDecisionDay and #ReachHigher.

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and Florida SouthWestern State College will also award two students with a $10,000, two-year college tuition scholarship. Recipients were selected based on school counselor recommendations.
