Business Happy Hours set

Property Inspection Services will host the Business Happy Hours on July 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce, at 25 Homestead Road N., Suite 41.

Come out and meet the new owners of the company, which has been owned by Mike and Debra Shuman for 26 years.

New owners Jeff and Jenn Wenzel will answer questions, along with an inspector.

Refreshments will be available.

EDO to hold government contracting event

The second annual Southwest Florida Government Contracting Symposium and Expo will be held on July 27 from 9 a.m. to noon in Building U at the Florida SouthWestern State College, at 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers.

Organized by the Lee County Economic Development Office and Small Business Development Center, attendees will learn about the opportunities in contracting with the local, state and federal governments.

It is designed to help business leaders gain insight into the government market, identify resources and get started in marketing their business to governmental entities. Over 20 exhibitors will be available for networking.

In addition, presentations and panel discussions on various topics will be held.

Chamber to host The Expo

The Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce will host The Expo on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lehigh Acres Senior Citizens Center, at 219 Plaza Drive.

In addition to vendor booths, the business showcase and job fair will feature prizes from area businesses.

For those seeking employment - be sure to bring your resume and dress for success. Area businesses are gearing up for season and are looking for new talent to hire.

Food and beverages will be available, with the proceeds benefitting the center.

Booth space reservations are being accepted by the GLACC office; each space will include one 6-foot table and two chairs.

There is a special available for chamber members for $50; non-members can participate with a registration fee of $85.

Electricity is available on a first come first serve basis for an additional $10 fee.
