A Lehigh Acres man and one other are facing drugs charges following a recent traffic stop.

At about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 10, Florida Highway Patrol troopers initiated a traffic stop on a Kia Optima traveling eastbound on Interstate 75 at Mile Marker 95. The car was stopped for illegal window tint.

Once stopped, troopers smelled an odor of marijuana. The driver did not have his driver's license and provided a false name. He was later identified as Sawvenance Moise, 33, of Lehigh, and the status of his license was suspended.

Moise was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm ammo as convicted felon, opioid derivative possession over 10 grams, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, driving while license suspended and false name given to law enforcement.

The right rear passenger, Kenneth Brinkley, 30, of Fort Myers, was also taken into custody.
