Governor Scott and health care payments
To the editor:
With the rolled out of the ACA in 2009 the state of Florida was offered $10 billion over 10 years for the Medicaid expansion. The treatment of indigent patients in the outpatient section which would save money and lives, also preventing expensive hospitalization. Gov. Scott refused to except the Medicaid expansion. This is the eighth year of his refusal.
During that eight year period on several occasions he has refuse to pay hospitals for care of indigent patients. Now he is praising federal funding for hospitals when he could have funded hospitals and also prevented hospitalizations by excepting the Medicaid expansion.
Believe me it’s all politics. Who cares about your health or your welfare. Certainly it isn’t Governor Scott.
