Authorities still seeking men in Family Dollar store robbery

PHOTO SPECIAL TO THE CITIZEN Authorities are still seeking information on two men who robbed a Family Dollar store, at 5009 Lee Blvd., at about 10 p.m. Aug. 27.

Nearly a month after a Family Dollar store in Lehigh Acres was robbed at gunpoint, detectives are still searching for the suspects responsible for the violent crime.

Two armed men robbed the store, at 5009 Lee Blvd., at about 10 p.m. Aug. 27. The suspects forced employees to the ground and used plastic zip ties to bind their wrists behind their backs. The men raided the registers and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

As of today, they are still at large.

Anyone with information is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
