Lee County Parks & Recreation launches ADA amenities site
The Lee County Parks and Recreation Department has launched a new website that allows users to search for ADA-accessible amenities at the county’s sites.
The landing page is www.leegov.com/adaparksearch.
The new search page will:
– Be compatible with accessibility technology devices
– Provide greater accessibility for patrons with visual and hearing impairments
– Be easily accessible on both desktop and mobile devices
– Simplify website searching for accessible options through intuitive, icon-based navigation
– Deliver search results specific to accessible features across the county or by park
Lee County Parks & Recreation strives to make facilities, programs and services inclusive and accessible for all patrons. Improvements in the past five years include opening an accessible recreation center in North Fort Myers, widening numerous pathways, adding dog-friendly accessible trail areas throughout the county and improving playground equipment for accessibility at many parks.
