Lehigh Sr. Center 36th Anniversary Open House

Lehigh Acres Senior Citizen Center, Inc. invited the community to their 36th Anniversary Open House, Thursday, April 26, featuring member Nantaporn Somwatcharm who teaches dance and has entertained for royalty in her native country of Thailand. Director Melissa Berry welcomed guests, Pledge of Allegiance was directed by LASC board member Chester Olson and the blessing was offered by Lehigh Regional Medical Center Pastor Jason Phillips. Crafts and billiards demonstrations filled the morning. MC Darrell Fratzke led the luncheon show of Tai Chi, Zumba, Line Dancing and Let's Entertainers comedy skit "Mirror, Mirror" with Chet Olson and Pat Hurley. Director Melissa Barry honored Lehigh's hometown heroes from the Lee County Sheriff's Office East District and Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District with appreciation award plaques. Playing cards and more crafts were shown and then dinner with entertainment. The successful celebration ended with the DJ Tina and Barry Dance. Check for pictures of the special event. Lehigh Acres Senior Center Anniversary Open House honored hometown heroes as, left to right, Director Melissa Barry presented an Appreciation Plaque to Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District Chief Robert DiLallo with Operations Chief Rudy Naranjo and Assistant Chief of Administration Ralph Ketron.  Lee County Government, local organizations, sponsors, members and our volunteers have given the Lehigh Acres Senior Center support to enjoy many classes and special events for 36 years in our community to continue this Mission Statement for years to come.
