A lot of people in Lehigh have homes that are "under water" and are facing foreclosures, so we should not be criticzing them because it can happen to you, too. As far as the fire department, I think they should really adopt the Blue Ribbon Panel's suggetions and if that is not workable, then the fire chief should just do his job and lay off th4e 37 he says he needs to so the budget will work. Let the man do his job. And I blame the uions for the high salaries; they didn't think the bubble would burst, but unfortunately it did for all of us!
