WHAT DO YA KNOW THE SARASOTA FF'S HAVE VOLUNTEERS--- What the Volunteer Fire Department does: Augmenting staff in the stations on Fire and EMS apparatus. Being available by pager for major includents such as structure fires, wildland fires and man made or natural disasters. The volunteers also provide fire and/or EMS coverage at special events such as firework displays, large public events such as County Fair and the Off Shore Grand Prix Races.
