Children of all ages are invited to participate in the free “Holiday Happening” program being offered by the Cape Coral Central Post Office, 1030 SE 9th Ave., on Saturday, November 29, between 9 a.m. and noon.

Family pictures will be taken in front of a blue and white snowy winter background.  An adult email address is required and the digital photo will be sent via email the week after the event.  Six free greeting cards will be provided, along with a 10 percent discount on additional cards.

The “Holiday Happening” program will feature a Santa writing station where children can write their letters to Santa or deposit letters they wrote at home in a special Express Mail collection box for direct service to Santa at the North Pole.

Other free events offered to children up to 12 years of age include a holiday craft, a holiday paper maze, face tattoos, and guessing the candies in a jar.  Children can learn how to take stamps off envelopes to start a collection and view stamp collections on display; they can sign up for membership in the Stamp “Cool”lecting Club.  Current and new members will receive a collectible first day of sale postmarked cachet envelope with the Holiday Nutcrackers stamps.

Anyone who brings in a new unwrapped toy for the Letter Carrier toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots will have a chance to win a gift.

Those who participate in all the activities available will be eligible to enter their names in a drawing for a holiday gift basket.
