Jeffrey J. Youngs
Jeffrey J. Youngs, 65, of Lehigh Acres, died on Nov. 17, 2008, after a long illness.
Born on August 17, 1943, he was the son of the late Daniel V. and Catherine Youngs. He was the husband of Mae Cha Youngs, who survives. They were married for 37 years.
After graduating from Grace Dodge Vocational High School, Youngs was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Korea. Following his service, he went back to work for American Airlines where he worked for 35 years as a tick agent before retiring. He moved to Southwest Florida in 1984 with his wife and two children.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Beatrice (Mike) Paxson; a son, William C. Youngs; and grandchildren, Mei-Lin Youngs and Devonte Youngs.
Youngs was cremated and a Memorial Mass was held at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, N.Y., on Nov. 22.
There will be a memorial service at Lee Memorial Park, Veterans Field of Honor, 12777 SR 82, Fort Myers, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, followed by a reception at the American Legion Post 323 in Le-high Acres.
