Yappy Yard Sale to benefit Animal Care Trust Fund
The Lee County Animal Care Trust Fund will hold its inaugural Yappy Yard Sale on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 8 am until noon.
The event will take place at Lee County Animal Services shelter at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Dept. off Six Mile Cypress Parkway.
“If you love animals and love yard sales, this is an event you won’t want to miss,” said Christina Crawfis, president of the Animal Care Trust Fund, in a prepared statement. “We will have a large variety of items for sale both pet-related and not pet related so there’s something for everyone.”
Proceeds will benefit the Trust Fund which supports low-cost spay neuter programs, assistance for homeless pets in Lee County, particularly those that are sick, injured or victims of cruelty. The Trust also promotes adoptions events for homeless animals and programs for disadvantages pet owners.
In addition to the shopping opportunities, dog trainers will be available at the event to discuss pet behavior problems with attendees. Vendors and other animal rescue organizations are also invited to participate and sell items to support their causes.
