Cancer Society Relay Awareness Day is Jan. 30
The American Cancer Society invites you to team up to fight cancer on Friday, January 30. All Lee County residents are encouraged to dress and decorate in purple and join together to celebrate Purple Palooza, the American cancer society’s relay for life awareness day, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., hosted by the Oasis high-rise condominiums in downtown Fort Myers.
The celebration will feature a “Taste of Relay for Life” from nine Lee County communities.All Lee county residents, businesses, schools and organizations are encouraged to come decked out in purple and register their cancer fighting Relay for Life teams.There will be live music, food and giveaways.
Prizes will be awarded for the highest donations collected for Relay (Purple Passion Award), Relay site that recruits most teams (Purple People Award), Individual that recruits the most new teams.(Purple Pride Award).
