CRAFT GUILD EXHIBIT STARTS FEB. 6
The Annual Southwest Florida Craft Guild Exhibit, sponsored by the Southwest Florida Craft Guild will
be held Feb. 6 – 27 at the Cape Coral Arts Studio, 4533 Coronado, Cape Coral. The show is a juried exhibit showcasing the Guild members’ diverse
talent and superior craftsmanship. Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public. More than two dozen fine craft artists will be exhibiting their work in turned wood, fused glass, stained glass, lampwork, paper, jewelry and stone sculpture. A reception will be held Friday, February 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information, call 574-0802.
QUILTERS MEET AT EDISON, FORD ESTATES
Front Porch Quilter’s at Edison & Ford Estates
The Southwest Florida Quilters’ Guild had their first “Front Porch” gathering on January 24 at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. Once a month, quilters have
been invited by the Estates to gather on the front porch of either the Ford or Edison home and do their hand quilting as well as answer questions from the
public about quilting. Henry Ford was a collector of all sorts of Americana, including many quilted items. The next gathering will be February 28 from 10

KREEGEL AIDE TO BE IN LEHIGH, FEB. 12, 26
Rep. Paige V. Kreegel, who represents District 72, will have a representative from his office in Lehigh Acres on Thursday, Feb. 12 and Thursday, Feb. 26 to discuss any issues or state-related problems the citizens of Lehigh may have. ANTIQUE CLOCK, WATCH SHOW SET FEB. 7
The Caloosa Chapter 98 of The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors will hold a special show with free appraisals and advice on repairs on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. at the public library at 15290 Bass Rd. in South Fort Myers. Admission is free. The group, which includes several Lehigh residents, meets on the first Saturday of each month from October through April at Whiskey Creek Country Club in Fort Myers. LEHIGH SINGERS PREPARE FOR MARCH CONCERT
The Lehigh Singers’ Spring Concert will be held March 15 and will include music from around the world, according to Candace Sundby, music director and principal conductor.
Rehearsals began Jan. 5 at East Lee County High School on Thomas Sherwin Ave., off of Milwaukee Blvd.
Sundby said that everyone who likes to sing is invited to join the group. Additional rehearsal dates are as follows: Feb. 8, 16, 23, March 2, 9, 14. The concert is the next evening.
