Doors open at 10 a.m. for Obama visit to Fort Myers
The White House today released the time of the town hall meeting with President Barack Obama in Fort Myers. According to the White House, the doors will open at 10 a.m. at Harborside Event Center at 1375 Monroe St. in downtown Fort Myers on Tuesday.
President Obama is expected to be at the site when the program begins at noon. The hall holds about 1,500 people.
This event is free and open to the public; however, space is limited and tickets are required, the White house spokesman said.
Members of the public are invited to pick up free tickets at the
Harborside Event Center on Monday at 9 a.m. with first-come, first served. Each person is limited to two tickets, the spokesman said.
For security reasons, limit personal items that you bring with you. No signs or banners will be permitted in the event center.
There was no announcement about the trip to Lehigh Acres following the program in downtown Fort Myers. The trip to Lehigh has been planned to show Obama a community that has been devastated due to foreclosures and job layoffs.
