To The Editor:

I read the open letter to President Obama from our own congressman, Connie Mack. I think it said, thank you for coming, but no thank you for your stimulus plan.

Then when the final vote came, Mack went along with all the other Republicans in the House of Representatives as if they were sheep and voted against the economic recovery plan. What a bunch of loons.

I am sure Connie Mack, who come from an illustrious family, knows nothing of the pain and suffering of the people of Lee County and Southwest Florida.

I hope the people here see him for what he is, a carpet bagger congressman, who cares nothing for the people. Someone should tell Mack that the Bush years are over and so are the economic ways in which it was handled.

Oh, did I forget. Didn’t Mack vote to bail out the banks. Sort of shows you who butters his bread, doesn’t it. I say we need to reject him and find someone who will fight for the average person.

Mr. Mack, there are thousands of people in your district who don’t understand how cold you really are, but I don’t think you truly care.
