Suspect caught on camera

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who went on a shopping spree last week with credit cards stolen from a gym locker at a local fitness club.

According to Fort Myers Police, the suspect used some sort of tool to break into a locker at the Omni Fitness Club on Boy Scout Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 11, and subsequently pilfered the belongings of the victim.

Stolen in the theft was a $2,000 TAG Heuer watch, cell phone and wallet. Before the victim could cancel his credit cards, the unidentified suspect charged nearly $2,200 at Best Buy and another $1,000 at Office Depot.

Surveillance video from both the Omni Club and Best Buy were compared, positively identifying the same suspect in both instances.

Anyone with information on the identity of the person in the attached surveillance photo is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for up to $1,000 in cash rewards.
