By Staff | Feb 27, 2009

Cape Coral Police have arrested a suspect in the three robberies of the Walgreens pharmacy on Cape Coral Parkway. Police have charged Stephen James Roca, 47, with the robberies that occurred on Dec. 28, 2008, and Jan. 21 and Feb. 20 of this year.
On each date, police were called to the Walgreens at 905 Cape Coral Parkway East on the report of a robbery at the pharmacy. During all three robberies, a white male reportedly approached the pharmacy, and demanded and received prescription pain medication.
Following the third robbery, Cape Coral Police released surveillance photos and a forensic composite of the suspect to the media and public. Several hundred flyers with the photos and composite also were printed and distributed by Cape police in the area surrounding the Walgreens in an attempt to identify the suspect.
Thursday, after receiving an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers, Cape Det. Paul Kaye responded to 4642 Coronado Parkway, #C102, where he made contact with Roca, who lived at that address.
According to police reports, Det. Kaye interviewed Roca, who confessed to committing all three robberies.
