Lehigh Regional to hold ‘Hoe Down Bar-B-Q’ on March 12
Lehigh Regional Medical Center will hold a “Hoe Down Bar-B-Q” on the hospital grounds on Thursday, March 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. to benefit the Hope Hospice of Lehigh Acres.
All monies collected from the sale of tickets will
be donated to the Hope Hospice of Lehigh Acres. Tickets will be sold at the door at $10 per person. There will have food, door prizes and music.
Hope Hospice provides a special kind of care for people of all ages who face any kind of life-limiting illness.
Services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and many insurances. Community support enables the Hope Hospice to serve everyone, regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
Hospice care is about living-providing physical, emotional and spiritual comfort in life’s final chapter.
How will our community benefit from a Hope Hospice House?
The Hope Hospice facility in Lehigh Acres will accommodate 24 individual patient care suites,
bereavement counseling offices and community meeting rooms.
While many of our patients in Lehigh Acres and the surrounding areas reside in their own homes, others must be placed in one of our Hope Hospice houses,
located in south Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Bonita Springs.
For family members, that can mean precious time spent traveling rather than with their loved one, hospital officials said.
The Hope Hospice House in Lehigh Acres will give the gift of time to family members and allow patients to be closer to home, hospital officials said.
“It is a privilege and an honor for Lehigh Regional Medical Center to be able to assist the Hope Hospice of Lehigh Acres in their efforts to raise funds for
such a noble cause,” said Jos F. Morillo, the hospital’s CEO.
