He is survived by his wife, Gayle of more than 50 years; sons, K. Craig Carpenter and Michael T. Carpenter (Judy) Daughter, Christy A. Reitz (Tim), six grandchildren, Kyle, Kinsey, Keenan Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter, and Vaughn and Tessa Reitz; brothers, Merrill, Terry; sisters, Gloria (Chadwell), Teddy (Osborne), Sandra (Woody) and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Calvin Kenneth “Kenny” Carpenter, 69, of Lehigh Acres, died on March 1, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle of more than 50 years; sons, K. Craig Carpenter and Michael T. Carpenter (Judy) Daughter, Christy A. Reitz (Tim), six grandchildren, Kyle, Kinsey, Keenan Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter, and Vaughn and Tessa Reitz; brothers, Merrill, Terry; sisters, Gloria (Chadwell), Teddy (Osborne), Sandra (Woody) and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; mother, Mabel and eldest brother, Leonard Jr.

Born in London, Ky., his family moved to Dayton, Ohio, when he was a teenager. He retired from Chrysler in 1994 with 30 years of service before moving to Lehigh Acres.

Memorial Services will be held in Dayton, Ohio, at the convenience of the family.
