Ellen V. Roszell

Ellen Vivian Roszell (nee Jones) of Lehigh Acres died March 2, 2009. Born September 19, 1925 in Cynthiana, Ky., she moved to Fort Myers in 1978 and settled in Lehigh Acres in 1994. Roszell was employed at Cypress Lake High School and received an outstanding contribution award from Lehigh Senior High School. She was a sponsor for Culley’s Championship Baseball team in Harrison, Ohio, from 1968-1974.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Roszell Sr. Also surviving are her children, Pat (Jim) Ramsey, Denver, Colo., John Jr. (Lynda) Roszell, Fort Myers, Jackie (Ken) Grooms, Jamestown, Tenn., Robert (Marilyn) Roszell, Harrison, Ohio, Jeanne (Steve) Bedel, Oldenburg, Ind., Tom (Sally) Roszell, Lehigh Acres, and Joe (Nancy) Roszell, Callahan, Fla. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, March 6 at noon at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to your local Hope Hospice.
