Vidal is named CFO at LCEC
Officials at Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) announced today that Denise Vidal has been appointed to serve as the company’s director of Finance and Accounting and chief financial officer.
LCEC is the electrical utility that serves most of Lehigh Acres.
In her six years at LCEC, Vidal has served as supervisor of Marketing and Energy Services, senior supervisor of Customer Information Services, manager of Financial Accounting, and most recently as the director of administration.
In her new role, she will be responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, various other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the utility industry, company officials said.
Vidal holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. She is also a certified management accountant with the Institute of Management Accountants and an advanced communicator and leader with Toastmasters International. She is currently LCEC’s United Way Campaign chairperson, and she volunteers with Edison State College.
