Betsy Vanzquez-Colon

Betsy Vazquez-Colon of Lehigh Acres died March 9, 2009. She was born in Boston, Mass., to Flora and Victor Vazquez. She was employed by the Lee County Health Department for five years and was known for being a great listener, a fun loving woman and a gifted shopper with exceptional taste.

She is survived by her husband Rafael “Tony” Colon; her five daughters Idalia, Liana, Shelissa, Bianca, and Briana; her mother, Flora; brother, Victor; and four sisters, Daisy, Evelyn, Madeline and Estrella.

A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on Thursday March 12, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be atr noon, Friday March 13, 2009 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vazquez-Colon Family Assistance Fund through Bank of America. Anderson Funeral Home of Lehigh handled arrangements.
