Search continues today for robber of rental center
Lee County Sheriff’s deputies today continue to search for a man who robbed the Lehigh Acres Rent-A-Center at 1123 Homestead Rd. on Monday. The suspect walked into the store a little after 10 a.m. and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after forcing four employees and a customer in the store to the floor with a gun, according to a Sheriff’s report.
Investigators said the man took cash from the register and off a desk and ran out through the rear door. A search began and a helicopter was called in to help.
According to the Sheriff’s report, the suspect is skinny and was wearing a black skull cap, a black bandana over his face, and a white long-sleeved shirt. he was wearing long black pants and black gloves, the report said.
