They say you can’t go home again. Well, Sierra Minott, Miss Florida 2008, is going to prove that sentiment wrong. She has scheduled to visit her former school, Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School in Fort Myers, to present the “Right Decisions Right Now” program.

Minott will visit Dunbar Middle on Friday, March 20. Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle is located at 4750 Winkler Ave., Fort Myers.

Minott will hold three separate presentations one for each grade level (sixth, seventh and eighth), school officials said today.

Right Decisions Right Now is a public service program designed to encourage children to make appropriate lifestyle decisions. While a key objective of the program is to discourage children from smoking, it also addresses other lifestyle decisions that face today’s youth on a daily basis, school officials said.

These decisions are often affected by a variety of factors, including peer pressure and peer influence. The program helps to give students the skills, knowledge, and most importantly, the confidence to make difficult decisions, school officials said. Miss Florida will address these topics at the separate presentations.
