Boating sobriety enforcement action set for this weekend
This weekend, the Lee County Marine Law Enforcement Task Force will conduct an operation aimed at detecting and apprehending impaired boaters on waterways in Lee County. Boating under the influence of drugs and alcohol is a concern and something law enforcement agencies in Southwest Florida takes very seriously. Members of several agencies are teaming up in an effort to educate the public and prevent accidents on the water.
The operation will feature undisclosed boating safety checkpoints, while stressing safe boating and BUI enforcement.
