the Lee County Sheriff’s Office today said that on Thursday, March 19, at approximately 2:50 p.m., deputies responded to the 4700 block of 14th Street SW, Lehigh Acres in reference to an attempted abduction. Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the area to assume the investigation.

Detectives met with the victim, a juvenile female, who explained she got off a school bus in the area of Gulfview Drive and 14th Street SW and began walking to her home. While walking, she was grabbed by an unknown black male, who attempted to pull her into a nearby wooded area.

The victim fought back by striking the suspect several times, and was able to get away from the suspect, running to a nearby residence to call 911, investigators said.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly with a Haitian accent, in his mid 30s, six feet tall, 190 to 200 pounds, with dark skin, and no facial hair. The victim also described a small mole/birthmark on his right cheek. At the time of the attack, the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes, investigators said.
