Lehigh youth charged with attempted murder

Justin Deems Tetreault has been charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of his stepfather.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office today said that on March 20, at approximately 11:49 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Trelis Road and Oriole Road, Fort Myers, concerning a stabbing report.

When deputies arrived on scene, they met with the complainant, Jason Pinkerton, 31, sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle and suffering from multiple stab wounds. As deputies provided first aid, Pinkerton identified his stepson, Justin Tetreault, as the suspect.

Deputies established a perimeter while the Lee County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and Aviations Units responded to assist in the search for the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit located Justin Deems Tetreault, 16, (DOB 12/7/92) was located and detained without incident. Meanwhile, Pinkerton was taken to an area hospital via helicopter. He is currently listed in serious condition and is expected to recover, investigators said.

Tetreault has been charged with one count of attempted murder. He was transported to the Lee County Jail for booking.

Tetreault’s most recent address is listed as 5104 Lee Circle, Lehigh Acres. Pinkerton’s address is listed as 4090 Woodbrier Drive, Fort Myers.
