You like seafood? Get ready for this festival in April
The Matlacha Mariners will hold its eighth annual Southwest Florida Seafood Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the German American Social Club on Pine Island Road, members said today.
For the first time the event will include what they are billing as a fantastic car show, a kid’s treasure hunt and big-ticket raffle items. The fest will continue to showcase “an excellent variety of fresh seafood” prepared by some of the areas best chefs, live music and more than 300 custom and classic cars for festival-goers to enjoy.
At the German American Club you’ll find ample parking with plenty of tables and umbrellas where you can enjoy the seafood and day-long entertainment. You’ll also find a wide variety of art and craft vendors, raffle items, 50/50 drawings and live music from the area’s top musicians until the event ends at 7 p.m. Trophies and awards will be presented at 4 p.m.
Sorry, no coolers are allowed. This is a nonprofit fundraiser with proceeds going to support groups and other charitable organizations within the Greater Pine Island area.
