Kathy Jean Ballantine, 49, of Lehigh Acres, formerly of Glouster, Ohio, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Cape Coral. She was born to the late Jack and Violet (Gilmore) Lewis on September 24, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio. She was a graduate of Trimble High School.

Ballantine has been a resident of Southwest Florida for 31 years. She attended Crossroads Baptist Church of East Fort Myers, and formerly was employed at Bass Pro Shop in shipping and receiving.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; three sons, Brad (Amber), Brian (Jessica) and Kevin; brothers, David Lewis, John Lewis, and Charles Lewis; sisters, Sharon (Dana) Buckley, Linda (Richard) Dixon and Susan (Paul) Moore; three grandchildren, Owen, Trinity, and Aubry; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church, 10721 Palm Beach Blvd., East Fort Myers. Grave side Service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Glouster, Ohio.
