Cape police asking for help in locating murder suspect
Cape Coral Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Matthew Franklin Gullett, 29, who is wanted in the death of his live-in girlfriend.
Police have issued a warrant for his arrest in the homocide of his live-in girlfriend, Shannon Michelle Sweet, 27. Officials have not said how she died.
Police have not been able to locate Gullett since authorities discovered Sweet’s decomposing body in their apartment unit at 4921 Coronado Parkway on Monday, March 30.
He may be driving a stolen 1995 Cadillac El Dorado, white 2-door with Florida tag “RDSTWRT,” officials said.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is assisting the Cape Coral Police Department and will be focusing on locating and apprehending Gullett. Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Matthew Franklin Gullett is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. If a tip leads to the arrest of Gullett, the caller could receive a cash reward of $1,000. Callers also may contact the Cape Coral Police at 574-3223.
Matthew Franklin Gullett is described as having brown hair and brown eyes. He’s 5’10 and weighs 160 pounds.
He has a “White Pride” tattoo on stomach.
