A fresh new twist at the Beach Grill Co.
Recently opening to the public in late January, the Beach Grille Co. at Fort Myers Beach has expanded from just a one-on-one personalized catering operation to a freshly-prepared gourmet restaurant, serving anything from quesadillas and chili to hand-sliced meats and seafood.
“Our concept was always comfort food,” said Susan Maranda, co-owner of the establishment, along with John Maranda and David Saunders. “We feel people want great food at a great price and that’s why we opened this restaurant.”
David said one of the many things that sets them apart from the rest is how they prepare and serve their hand-cut and hand-sliced meats.
“Everything we buy is raw. All the meats are second to none. We cut them, tie them, rotisserie them and slice them ourselves. Everything comes out warm and well-marinated even our hand-sliced sandwiches and that’s what makes us different,” he said.
David is eager to point out the restaurant’s three signature dishes that have taken their menu on by storm.
The thick, creamy shrimp and bell pepper bisque will leave you licking your lips, while the mango chicken salad, along with warm, buttery bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce, are good enough to make even the toughest critic beg for more.
“It’s really hard to pinpoint a specific dish because they’ve all done so well. We’ve perfected our menu to the point that they all do really well,” Susan said. “And everything is so affordable. You can enjoy a full meal, complete with sides, from just $7.”
It’s no wonder the restaurant crew has more than 50 years of combined cooking experience under their belts.
And to complement their hand-cooked-and-carved meats just right, fresh baked bread is shipped in from a local bakery every morning.
As two satisfied customers exclaimed while paying their tab, “It was delicious as always, the food was great. We’ll be back.”

Sangria and more at the bar
The Beach Grill, Co. offers beer and wine, a few on tap, and feel free to catch a cool brew at the fresh, new bar. Susan said they offer many nice house wines, as well as some specialty blends.
And be sure to try the homemade sangria John makes every day, complete with freshly sliced oranges and limes. Order by the glass or tempt temptation by the pitcher.
Helping the community
Even though the folks at the Beach Grill Co. have only been around for just a few months, they’re already doing their part to help out the local community.
“During Shrimp Festival weekend, all the money we brought in went to the local Lion’s Club,” Susan said.
“We’ve also been very consistent donators to the Food for the Poor organization,” David continued.
Plus, look forward to possibly seeing this restaurant strut their stuff during the next Taste of the Beach event.
Catering
Since this restaurant blossomed from a catering company, of course catering service is available. All items on the Beach Grill Co.’s menu is available, as well as plenty of other scrumptious concoctions.
