This weekend’s Spring Fest to benefit Harry Chapin Food Bank

Bring a canned good for buy-one, get-one free admission to the Annual Spring Fest being held at the Lee County Civic Center Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19. The Buckler’s 15th annual event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. 4 p.m.

There will be fun for all, including arts and crafts, bounce house, live music, games, food, antique cars, and steam engines. A live auction will benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank. The canned goods will also be donated to the food bank, which is distributed throughout the county and includes Lehigh Acres.

Parking is free. Adult admission is $6. One paid admission is good both days with a hand stamp. Free hourly $20 shopping sprees and cooking demonstrations will also be offered.

The Harry Chapin Food Bank solicits, collects and stores quality food for distribution to needy people through a network of nearly 150 local nonprofit agencies in Lee, Collier, Hendry, Charlotte and Glades counties. The Harry Chapin Food Bank provides food to 167 non-profit agencies that serve 20,000 people monthly. The food bank distributes more than 4.25 million pounds of food and other grocery products, valued at more than $7 million, per year.
