River & Blues Fest to fill Fort Myers waterfront Sunday
The Fort Myers River & Blues Fest will fill the downtown waterfront with live music and tasty treats Sunday as the annual festival hosted by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association comes to Centennial Park for its 17th year.
The concert, set for Sunday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., will feature five bands, with the first taking the stage at noon. The lineup includes Certified, Danny Sheppard, Deb & the Dynamics, The Juice and The Mambo Brothers.
Food and drink will be offered by an array of vendors including some of the area’s most popular restaurants. A children’s play area, which will include Nick’s Kid Show and attractions such as a moonwalk, will provide young attendees with plenty to do.
The River & Blues Fest also is a major fund-raiser with proceeds going to Community Cooperative Ministries, an organization providing food to the “homeless and nearly homeless.”
Admission is $5 for adults with children 10 and younger admitted free.
Pets, umbrellas and coolers will not be allowed in the park during the fest.
