Too late for free tickets to Ford Estate; July 4th selected for free admittance

By Staff | Apr 18, 2009

Due to the overwhelming response to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates An Incandescent Evening, on Saturday, April 18 from 5 p.m. 8 p.m., the Estates is out of free tickets. Thousands of free tickets have been distributed to the community and at this point the Estates cannot accommodate additional people, officials said.

For those people who were unable to get free tickets to the re-opening of the Ford Estate, the Estates will be offering free admission on July 4, 2009, for Lee County residents. Tickets will be available at the Estates ticket office on July 1, 2009. Proof of residency is required.

The Estates is daily from 9 a.m. 5:30 p.m. The Estates was awarded the National Trust for Historic Preservation Award in 2008 and is an official project of “Save America’s Treasures” at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a Florida Historic Landmark and a National Register Historic Site.
