The Lee County Sheriff’s Office 2009 Awards Ceremony is scheduled tonight. Awards will be given to more than 150 employees for accomplishments during the 2008 calendar year. Categories for honor include the Deputies of the Year for law enforcement and corrections, Life Saving, Gallantry Star, Combat Cross and many more (listed below).

The service awards recognize the outstanding efforts of certified law enforcement and corrections members, as well as civilian support and volunteers. The public is invited to attend.

Tonight’s ceremony begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at First Assembly of God Church located at 4701 Summerlin Road, just south of Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
